Many local businesses and organisations are offering free meals in Colchester, as well as fun activities for children during the school holidays. The Borough Council has co-ordinated all the good work and support being offered over the half term break, to make it as easy as possible for the people of Colchester to find the local support they need. They have just gone live with their new Food Support web page, which you can find via the link. More »
The focus of the page is to give residents the ability to find support, either using the Google Map or through the list of support on offer. The CBC Community Enabling team is also supporting any individuals or support groups as required and can be contacted at email@example.com

Essex County Council is committed to supporting communities most in need and that have been adversely impacted by the Covid-19 crisis. Given the immediate need around holiday hunger, ECC has committed an initial £165,000 which will be made available immediately to food banks and community organisations supporting families and individuals who need support with food and essentials.
Organisations can apply for a maximum of £2500. Please ensure that the amount you request in your application reflects the need and the number of individuals and families you will be supporting. More »
This funding is primarily for the provision of food and essentials, however we recognise that we also need to support the costs to you as an organisation in terms of storage, volunteer expenses and PPE and so we will cover these costs as part of this grant up to 20% of the application costs.
