Welcome to 2020 and our new website which contains (and will contain) a lot of information, not just about Stanway Parish Council, but (over time) much, much more. For example, the Community Section provides a calendar of events which local organisations can add to (noting that this will be subject to editorial review to ensure suitability before publication).
Stanway Parish Council is the third tier of local government in the area and is totally independent from the other two tiers, Essex County Council and Colchester Borough Council.
SPC provides some of your local services, but, to make this website a 'one stop shop', we have created an A -Z which (once fully developed) will provide you with information and links about almost everything in Stanway.
As your Parish Council, we strive to make Stanway a better place to live, work and play. Here, you will find a wealth of information about how we conduct business and what we do. Use the search facility or browse through the site to find whatever you are looking for. If you can't find the information you require, then please contact us.

The Dance Network Association is pleased to announce Dancing with Parkinsons has returned to Colchester Castle and William Loveless Hall, Wivenhoe for 2020.
With thanks to Colchester Castle, Wivenhoe Town Council, generous donations from Cllr Helen Chuah and Cllr Simon Crow as well as participant donations, we have been able to continue this fantastic programme of sessions to support residents living with Parkinsons, in the local community. More »
Dancing with Parkinsons offers those living with Parkinson's a chance to experience creative movement and dance with their partners, friends, family and carers. Classes are led by a Professional Dance Artist and encourage positive physical and mental wellbeing. The class concludes with time to chat over tea & coffee, thereby increasing the sense of community and building support networks.
Currently running once a month in Wivenhoe, and once a month in Colchester, we continue to seek funding to support sustainability of these sessions for the residents of Wivenhoe and Colchester beyond 2020, with an aim to funding sessions on a weekly basis » Less
