Winstree Road is home to four schools, The Stanway School, Stanway Fiveways Primary School, Stanway Primary School and Lexden Springs School. These schools, which together have over 2000 pupils, are all within 700 yards of one another. Age Concern are adapting their service to help get older people physically active and give them confidence to leave their home. The befriender will work with them to determine their need and start exercising with them. They hope to set up small groups if they have a number of referrals from the same area.
