DAST Get Online Week 19th - 25th October 2020
This year's Get Online Week campaign is going to be a little bit different, with the country still responding to the coronavirus pandemic'. Rather than holding large events in local communities and inviting lots of people into public venues, the aim is to help people safely, whether over the phone or using digital tools like Teams or social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram) for live coffee mornings.
This year the event takes place 19th – 25th October 2020, Colchester Borough Council will be assisting people during the working week.
During this year "Get Online Week" they are hosting daily one-hour live coffee mornings on Teams, Zoom Facebook & Instagram to engage with residents.
This is an opportunity for those that attend to socialise with others, ask questions, share and talk about specific topics for example: managing money and managing your health online which will help build individual's confidence is using technology which is so important especially during the current pandemic.
CBC can then provide residents with assistance and guidance with the specialist services that include both Council and Health services.
