A120 Whites Hill to Coggeshall: resurfacing A120 Marks Farm to Galleys Roundabout: resurfacing

Highways England will be carrying out essential resurfacing work at the above locations. During this work, they'll also be renewing faded road markings.

HE plan to complete these works over 2 weeks from Monday 18 January to Friday 29 January, working between the hours of 8pm to 6am, subject to weather conditions.

Due to the extensive amount of work on this project, they have split the work into two phases and have closely liaised with the local authority to agree the most suitable diversion routes for each phase as detailed below:

Phase 1: A120 Whites Hill to Coggeshall, in both directions, with weekend night closures on Saturday 23 to Sunday 24 January and Saturday 30 to Sunday 31 January (4 nights)

  • Westbound traffic will be diverted via the A12 at junction 25, following this towards the A12 at junction 19, then onto the A130 and A131 before re-joining the A120 at the A131 roundabout.
  • Eastbound traffic will travel the same diversion route but in reverse.

Phase 2: A120 Marks Farm to Galleys roundabout, westbound only, starting Monday 25 January to Friday 29 January (5 nights)

  • Westbound traffic will be diverted via the A12 at junction 25, following this towards the A12 at junction 19, then onto the A130 and A131 before re-joining the A120 at the A131 roundabout.
