Essex Police has issued an alert about three types of fraud currently doing the rounds - Council tax refunds, 'Puppy Scams' and 'spoof' text messages about aborted bank payments.
The Police urge residents to be alert to these and other frauds, passing on that advice to friends and family, especially the vulnerable.

Here is an update from the Met Office in the East of England, about what will become an increasingly warm and, eventually, hot week for many areas.

From 11 to 27 September, Keep Britain Tidy will once more be organising the UK's biggest mass-action environmental campaign: The Great British September Clean 2020, after the Spring Clean was postponed due to COVID-19.
In 2019, more than 560,000 people took part.
